Snorkel Masks

In conjunction with Dr. Peter Baek, Invene developed a 3D printed component that turns a scuba mask into a reusable N95 mask. It passes the hospital fit test and is going to be utilized as more hospitals allow staff to bring in their own PPE (personal protective equipment).

The support from my network has been tremendous as a lot of individuals gave their time and expertise for free, including Tyler Register, Hubert Zajicek, Kathy Blank, Ed MacDonald, Walter Voit, Randy Page, Jim Griffin, Sarah Law, Matt Fildes, and Jon Shapiro.

The cost per 3D printed part is $4 and we already have 275 requests without publicizing it. Dr. Baek has started a GoFundMe to help cover the cost of materials. No one is making money from this venture as we’re releasing the design for free next week. We are manufacturing these for doctors without access to 3D printers. If you want to be a part of the cause, checkout the GoFundMe.
